107th Annual Durham Parade & Picnic

The Durham Parade and Picnic is a vibrant celebration that brings together the community of Durham and surrounding areas and has become a beloved tradition for the last century. Showcasing local talent, businesses, and organizations from marching bands to colorful floats and following up with an entire day of events; most being free of charge thanks to their many sponsors. The Parade and Picnic offers something for everyone. Join us this Saturday to experience the excitement firsthand and be a part of this wonderful community event. Mark your calendars and come join the fun!

The theme this year is, "Family, Friends, & Farming'".

The Parade starts at 10:00 am sharp in downtown Durham and the Picnic at the Durham Community Park follows immediately afterwards with an official kick off at 12:00. 

 

This event is a great time to get together with friends and family as well as a time to meet your fellow community members.This year we are looking forward to many exciting events and activities such as:

--The Durham Exchange Club will be providing a variety of ice cold beverages from some of our best local vendors!

--Various Food Trucks will be there to feed your appetite in many exciting ways.

--The Durham Community Women's Club will be serving their legendary strawberry shortcake.

--Durham 4H is bringing their friendly animals for everyone to meet!

--Live music from local cover band Ivy Flats will keep us dancing all afternoon!

--Chico Princess Parties will be bringing special guests you will not want to miss!

--Funny Faces face painting will be there to make sure everyone is looking festive!

--Bounce houses and inflatable slides will be available, free of charge, for hours of fun!

--A Bungee Trampoline will send kids flying high.

-- Local juggling sensation, Catch it Quick Juggling, will be there to entertain us all.

-- Snow cones and cotton candy will be provided.

--BYB Cornhole will be hosting a cornhole tournament. 

Again this year they will be doing an evening Home-run Derby presented by DRPD and Durham Little League at 5:30 at the Durham Community Park with live music by the Durham High School Jazz Band followed by a professional fireworks show you will not want to miss!

*Vendors and food trucks will have goods available for purchase.
